HoloSecure Card, a highly durable and new generation ID device, developed by Light Logics, a Technopark, Trivandrum based firm, received much attention in the 16th Asian Professional International Security Conference inaugurated today in the Singapore Suntec International Convention Centre. Special Theme of this premier international event with great contemporary importance to the region is Regional Cooperation in Combating Crime and Terrorism. One of the two keynote addresses of the event was on the HoloDecure ID device developed by the Light Logics. In his speech Dr. Ajith Kumar, President and Leading Specialist of Light Logics Holography and Optics and Light Logics International, UAE, presented a technological exposition of this new generation ID card that has much relevance as a highly durable ID device that can be effectively used as digital passport, a citizen ID or in the global fight against terrorism and fraudulence.
The card has all the features of the trendy smart card and at the same time holds a holographic chip with high density optical information content. But, in sharp deviation from conventional plastic ID cards with embossed security holograms, the HoloSecure card itself is a hologram with metallic structure and has multilevel security features. Hybrid storage and retrieval capability of the ID device with both electronic and photonic storage and decryption ability is a novel concept in the authentication industry and generated a wave of attention in the event. The two day Conference was inaugurated by Prof. Ho Peng Kee, Senior Minister of State for Law and Home Affairs, Singapore. About 3000 delegates and experts from more than 50 countries participated in the event. As part of the event an international exhibition of latest security technologies and machines from various continents are also going on.
Light Logics has recently developed holographic weapon sight elements, for the first time in the country, and was selected for the prestigious ISBA (Indian Science and Technology Parks and Business Incubators Association) award for the Most Innovative
Engineering Design Company, from among the 3500 companies under its umbrella. Dr.Ajithkumar, Founder Director of Light logics is the receipient of TePP Innovation Grant Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India for his project ‘Development of Holographic DNA card’, the next generation unique ID of an individual.
