A high level delegation from Government of Nagaland visited Technopark on June 15-16, with the objective of replicating the Kerala Model of
IT development by establishing IT Parks in Nagaland and to explore possible ways of association with Technopark and Technopark TBI. Nagaland is planning to establish a Technology Business Incubator in Nagaland to spot and nurture the IT development firms in Nagaland with the support of Technopark TBI.
The delegation consisting of Mr. Vikho-o Yhoshu, Advisor to the Chief Minister, IT&C, Mr. K.T. Sukhalu, IAS, Secretary, IT&C, held fruitful discussion with Technopark Officials.The Nagaland team held discussion with Shri.T.Balakrishnan IAS, Addl Chief Secretary Govt

The 10th Edition of BarCamp Kerala was held at SCMS B-School, Kochi on May 15, 2011. Around 80 participants attended the event and took part in the debates and discussions. Mr. Kenney Jacob opened the sessions with his presentation that discussed the co-relation between Human intelligence and Language skills. The overall idea is that, the more words a person has in his active vocabulary, the more ideas he will have and the more intelligent he will be. Kenney ended the presentation with a Demo of his product, WordZo, an innovative e-learning tool that helps to improve vocabulary. Other sessions were “Why do people compare Apples and Oranges ?” by Praseed Pai during which he talked about
Snobbery and discussed some very fundamental acts of snobbery that every professional in Kerala faces. “Development: What they don’t teach you anywhere” by Mr. Binny V A, a freelance web-developer. There were other talks about Cyber Warfare, Public Relations and Financial Planning, each was distinct in its own way and called for debates.
Mr.Narayan of Dexetra, Kochi came up with a very interesting and innovative product called Friday, which is an Android mobile application. Friday now in the alpha stage is built around the concept that everyone carries their Mobile phones wherever they go.

Artin Dynamics and Light Logics have emerged as gold medallists in the Department of Science & Technology- Lockheed Martin India Innovation Programme 2011. Both the companies received cash prize of Rs. One Lakh and a gold medal from Dr. Ray O. Johnson Lockheed Martin Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. The winners of this prestigious award also get an opportunity to launch early stage technologies into the global marketplace. The DST-Lockheed Martin India Innovation Growth Program is a two-year, nation-wide project, created to accelerate the launch of Indian early-stage technologies into the global marketplace. The Program is funded by Department of Science and Technology (Gov. of India) and Lockheed Martin Corporation, and was developed with the assistance of the Indo- US Science and Technology Forum, IC2 Institute at the University of Texas, and FICCI. Technopark CEO, Mervin Alexander congratulating both the companies said it was a proud moment for the park for its companies winning such prestigious accolades. “Our efforts to create innovation a way of life is definitely seeing positive results with companies such as Artin, Light Logics incubated from Technopark winning accolades in the global forum. We hope to see more incubated companies from Kerala IT achieving major milestones in future”, he added.
