Innoz Celebrates 3rd Birthday with little gems

Innoz technologies, a software product based company incubated at Technopark Trivandrum celebrated their 3^rd anniversary on Sep 15, 2011.

They celebrated it with the students of Govt.  High School in Sreekariyam Trivandrum, where 80% of the students come from very poor background. They sponsored a great sadhya (Kerala lunch with lots of dishes), sweets for the school kids. Mr. Deepak Ravindran is the Co-founder and CEO and Abhinav, Ashwin, Hisham are other Founder directors of Innoz.

Innoz started their journey as a virtual incubatee of Technopark TBI from Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) in LBS College of Engineering, Kasaragod.   Presently they are one of the leading mobile application companies in India today.

Innoz has been co-incubated at Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIIE), Ahmedabad. Their Flagship product, SMSGYAN, an ‘SMS Search Engine’ to find  instant information on demand has more than 1.5 Million Users on Airtel and has
altogether 7 million users in India making this one of the fastest growing  mobile services in India.

Innoz is rated among the Global 100 technology companies by prestigious RED Herring Magazine for 2010. Innoz also won the Nasscom Award for Top Emerging companies in India. For SMSGYAN Deepak Ravindran, CEO-Innoz has also been selected as one of the top innovators in India under 35 by Technology Review, a publication of MIT.

KCC Nair receives PhD in Incubation & Entrepreneurship

Mr. KC. Chandrasekharan Nair, Chief Finance Officer- Technopark & Secretary & Registrar, Technopark TBI received the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Incubation and Entrepreneurship from the International Open University, Colombo, Srilanka. The convocation ceremony was held at Salem on Sep 9, 2011

OrisysIndia LLP started functioning as the 122^nd Company in T-TBI. OrisysIndia is a technology start-up company focused on mobile VAS applications, Optimized Customer care solutions and Web  applications. Mr. Arunraj.R and Amrutha Raj.R are the Managing Partners.

AMTEC graduates from T-TBI

Advanced Media Technologies Pvt. Ltd (AMTEC) that started as an incubatee of T-TBI in Feb, 2008 graduated and started operation from Nila, Technopark on August 17, 2011. Mr. M.A.Vaheed, MLA, Govt of Kerala inaugurated the office. Mr. Shajahan M.N is the Managing Director and Mr. Nebu A.N is the Director. AMTEC is now headquartered in Technopark with offices in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sultanate of Oman, Brazil
& USA.

Opportunities for Kerala IT Companies in Europe

The thirteenth INSPIRE Session on  ‘Opportunities in Europe for Kerala IT Companies’ organised by  Group of Technology Companies  (GTech) in partnership with Technopark TBI was held on  August 29, 2011 at Technopark. Dr. Arvind Tilak, Chief Representative, Greater Zurich Area, Switzerland Trade and Investment agency led the session on the Business Opportunities for Kerala IT companies in Europe.  The
forum discussed on the Kerala IT delegation to Switzerland to explore new business opportunities. Representatives from more than 30  companies participated in the event. Mervin Alexander, CEO, Technopark, Mr. Anoop Ambika, Secretary, GTech, Mr.KCC Nair, Secretary and Registrar, T-TBI, Binu Jacob, MD & CEO, Experion Global and Mr. Binu Sankar, CEO, GTech were present during the session.

Doing Business with France

The twelfth INSPIRE Session on  Doing Business with France organised by  Group of Technology Companies (GTech) in partnership with Technopark TBI was held on  August 24, 2011 at Technopark. Mr. Audrey Lucbernet, Inward Investment Officer, Invest in France
Agency detailed on the Business Opportunities for Kerala IT companies in France.  The session was part of the objective of the inspire forum to help the Small and Medium Companies from Technopark to identify new business opportunities. Representatives from more than 25 companies  articipated in the event. Mr. Anoop Ambika, Secretary, GTech, Mr.Syed Ibrahim, Treasurer, GTech, Mr.KCC Nair, Secretary and Registrar, T-TBI, Mr. Harikumar.P, CEO, Travancore Analytics and Mr. Binu Sankar, CEO, GTech were present during the session.

Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp at Marthandam College of Engineering and Technology (MACET)

An entrepreneurship awareness session was conducted at Marthandam College of Engineering and Technology (MACET) as part of ‘CABYIO 11’ a National Level Technical Symposium organized by INFOCOM, an association of CSE and IT departments.  Mr. K.C. Chandrasekharan Nair, Secretary and Registrar, Technopark TBI inaugurated CABYIO’11 and held an interactive session with the students on entrepreneurship and its prospects. The valedictory function was inaugurated by Mr.Binu Shankar, CEO of Group of Technology Companies, Technopark.

IEDC Inaugurated at NI University

An Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) has been formally inaugurated at NI University, Kumaracoil on July 26, 2011 in the College Auditorium with the support of Technopark TBI.

The IEDC was inaugurated by Janab Dr. A.P. Majeed Khan, President, Noorul Islam Center for Higher Education (NICHE) Society by lighting the lamp and Mr. Mervin Alexander, CEO, Technopark was the chief guest. Dr N. Chandrashekhar, Pro VC, Dr.A.E Muthunayagam, Member Board of Management, Mr. S.K. Pillai, Director III, Mr. K.C. Chandrasekharan Nair, Secretary and Registrar, Technopark TBI and Mr. Sreejith. S, Technical Officer, T-TBI were present during the inauguration.

Inaugurating the IEDC Mr. Mervin Alexander said that “the IEDC will be a unique venture to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among students and the youth in the region and the IEDC in NI University will motivate more and more academic institutions in the region to follow the path taken by NI University.

The IEDC will offer the perfect platform and opportunity for young innovators, entrepreneurs and the student community at large to establish their innovative ventures with the support of Technopark TBI.
