TechTop -All India Engineering Students Project
December 30, 2008 at 9:54 am | In Product Contest | 1 CommentTechTop is an All India Engineering Students project competition jointly organized by Technopark, Trivandrum and Degree C and supported by IEEE and Executive Knowledge Lines for the prestigious Degree C award, the one which offers largest prize money in this class.TechTop is promoted by Technopark for spreading the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship.TechTop is organized every year to tap the innovative potential of entrepreneurial citizens of India. The objective is to promote individual innovators through support mechanism at various stages to become technology based entrepreneurs (Technopreneurs). All projects selected after final screening shall be eligible for incubation support from Technopark TechTop 2008 was and organized at Technopark and about 100 Engineering colleges from around the country have participated in the contest. Out of this 24 Engineering Colleges from different parts of the country were short listed to make their presentations and demonstrations to the Award Committee in Technopark.The major sponsor’s of TechTop 2008 were IBS, SunTech Business Soutions, One view Systems, AES Solutions, Light Logics, Aviva Life Insurance, Acts Info, MobMe, ThoughtLine Technologies etc.
The Second prize of Rs.25000 sponsored by IBS Group was won by THE OXFORD COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, Bangalore, and Karnataka for their project “CONSTANT VELOCITY JOINT ASSEMBLY”. The Third prize of Rs. 10000/- sponsored by One view systems, Technopark & Suntech Business Solutions ,Technopark was won by BITS PILANI ,Goa & Sahrdaya Engg College, Kodakara for their projects “ Microbial Fuel Cell Using Sewage & Water Plants” & “EOG BASED ROOM UTILITY CONTROL FOR BEDRIDDEN PATIENTS”
TechTop is a very innovative programme by which TTBI is able to spot more and more incubatees right from the colleges
The first prize for Degree C Trophee and a cash prize of Rs.1 Lakh was won by DKTE’s Textile & Engg Institute, Ichalkaranji, Maharastra for their project “Electrolyte Effluent Treatment Plant”
